Coming soon: ANEW 2020 - Inclusive Arts Vermont

I'm thrilled to announce that my newest painting will be part of a year-long gallery show, "ANEW", which will be traveling throughout the state of Vermont in 2020. The opening reception will be February 15th at the Amy E. Tarrant Gallery, at the Flynn Theatre in Burlington, VT. I am hoping to attend, health willing.

The painting, "Untold Depths to Heights Unknown", is mixed media on paper. (Unfortunately the detail is hard to make out in the photograph at this scale.) It incorporates a modified topo map (as a nod to my former cartography career), which has hidden dates following our journey through losing our health and home to toxic mold, and our subsequent new beginnings seeking a return to health by living full-time on the road in an RV.

Notes from the Opening Reception of "Flourish"...

There was a huge turnout at the opening of "Flourish" at the gallery in Burlington.  The place was packed! So wonderful to see all the great works of fellow artists, and to see so much public interest too!!!

Special thanks goes to the team at the Flynn who put it all together. They did an amazing job making the show accessible to all. Especially the detailed audio descriptions of each piece - WOW! If you are anywhere near Burlington in the coming months, the show runs through the end of June.... come check it out!!

I had the best time getting to meet people, make new artist friends (Yay!!!), and answer questions about my painting. So wonderful to witness how it touched people - first hand. Really really cool! What a special day!
